Picolab Technologies Ltd. is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chain. We recognize our responsibility to proactively identify, mitigate, and address risks associated with modern slavery to ensure that our practices reflect respect for human rights and fair labour standards

Organizational Structure 

Picolab Technologies Ltd. operates as a scientific instruments provider with a structure designed to uphold ethical business practices across all departments and levels. Picolab is a private limited company which operates in UK and was established in 2020. Picolab has its offices in Liverpool and London. In addition to providing our own products we partner with leading companies like Sigma-Aldrich, Becton Dickinson, Eppendorf, Cytiva, DWK Life Sciences, Kimberley-Clark, Sartorius, Taylor Wharton, Thermo-Scientific, 3M and Corning. 

Scope
This policy applies to all aspects of our operations, covering our direct employees, contractors, and supply chain partners. It is designed to ensure that modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking do not occur at any level of our operations or within our supply chain.

Purpose

This Policy is made in accordance with the section 54 part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Picolab Technologies Ltd. aims to ensure that there is zero slavey and human trafficking taking place in any part of the organisation or supply chain. This policy specifies the steps that have been taken in order to achieve this.

Steps for the prevention of Slavery and Human Trafficking

  • We are strictly against any form of forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking. We require all suppliers to agree to Picolab’s Supplier Code of Conduct, which includes strict prohibitions on this matter.
  • We carefully continue our company operations like recruitment and employment practices to identify any vulnerabilities to modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • We ensure that the suppliers are aware of Picolab’s commitment to ethical sourcing and are held accountable to any violations to our company standards.
  • We make sure a working environment where employees, suppliers and contractors are free to report any suspected case of modern slavery or human trafficking without fear.
  • We ensure any reports regarding this matter are taken seriously and investigated immediately. 
  • We make sure our employees and suppliers and aware of modern slavery and human trafficking related issues, recognize the signs of slavery and understand the reporting process properly.
  • Review and update anti-slavery policies and practices annually to address new risks, changes in regulations, and feedback from audits or reports.

 

This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed regularly and will be updated if necessary.
